The Culture in the Church

The Culture in the Church

The current culture in many churches has sadly been one of failing to fulfill God’s Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20). Statistics[1] reveal that very few followers of Jesus (2-5%) are regularly about the King’s (Jesus) business of making disciples. This means that 95-98% are not following Jesus His way.

That’s astounding and alarming! Is it possible that the chaos we see and experience in our culture (world) is connected to these statistics? Does anything (government, education, businesses, teams) work and thrive when 95-98% are not doing what they’re supposed to be doing?

I believe the answer is painfully yes. I believe God’s plan is for good and not evil (Jeremiah 29:11) and that as God’s people follow Him His way we will experience His abundant blessings in our lives, our communities, our country, and our world.
